UCLA cycling is gearing up to have an excellent 2012
season. The team spent seven days training
in Borrego Springs, CA early this month where, with the assistance of Herbalife 24 endurance products, they put nearly 400 miles and over 21 hours in their legs. With the Cynergy Cycles support van in tow the
team met the challenges of scorching sun, strong cross winds, 10+ mile climbs
and fast technical descents. UCLA
cycling is prepped and ready to rail this upcoming 2012 collegiate season. “We got a big team this year with a lot of talented
riders” says coach Brian Kappus. “We are
excited get out there and show what we got!” Look out for returning veteran riders Mack
Champlin, Jon Lexa, and Lisa Muller, as well as new A rider David Quiros, as they
compete to qualify the team for collegiate road nationals in May. Don’t forget to also check out UCLA men in
the B, C, and D categories as they likely will make a strong showing up front and
center! Check the results page to
following UCLA men and women as the season develops.
